Singapore (December 15, 2017) – A group of Adventus employees don the iconic red apron and ring a bell as members of public place donations in the pot at Centrepoint Orchard. Each group of employees spent 2 hours manning the kettle stand while encouraging members of the public to share their love during the festive season of giving and sharing.
The Salvation Army's annual Christmas Kettling event is a unique fundraising project that enables The Salvation Army to raise funds to meet the needs of their social programmes. It is held from 27 November 2017 to 22 December 2017.
“I am very encouraged by the generosity of the people. Many of them stepped forward to donate on their own and to find out more about the programmes under The Salvation Army” said Cindy Poh, Senior Operations Executive in Adventus. “It’s definitely worth the time contributing to a good cause and knowing that the society did not forget about the less fortunate.”
